Mississippi State Bulldogs have flipped Tupelo linebacker Devontray Brewer from Stanford, adding a key recruit to their 2027 class.
Brewer announced his commitment to the Bulldogs on Instagram on June 29, just a day after decommitting from Stanford.
He is a three-star prospect according to the 247Sports Composite and holds offers from Michigan, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Baylor.
Brewer's commitment is a significant boost to the Bulldogs' recruiting class, which now ranks No. 53 nationally and No. 15 in the SEC as of June 29.
The 6-foot-1, 225-pound linebacker is ranked as the No. 767 prospect nationally and the No. 20 player in Mississippi.
The Bulldogs will look to build on this momentum as they prepare for their next game against the UL Monroe Warhawks on September 5, 2026.
Brewer's addition to the team is expected to strengthen their defense, which will be crucial in upcoming matchups.
He had 119 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks last season for Tupelo.
